In order to fight for the fight against soil pollution, serve ruralrevitalization, ecological civilization, and the construction of a beautifuland healthy China, inherit and carry forward the results and spirit of theFirst National Soil Remediation Conference and the International Conference onSoil Pollution and Remediation. Recently, the Nanjing Institute of SoilScience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Soil Society and the AgriculturalEcology and Resources Protection Station of the Ministry of Agriculture andRural Affairs, undertook by the National Engineering Research Center for SoilNutrient Management and Pollution Remediation, co-organized by DDBSEnvironmental Remediation Company, and supported by many environmentalprotection companies. The conference was successfully held in Nanjing.

With the theme of "Reducing Pollution, Pure Land, Clean Food and SafeLiving", the conference will focus on the scientific research,technological innovation, material research and development, equipment researchand development, engineering application, inspection and supervision,industrial model and other innovation chains, industrial chains and servicechains of soil remediation, and systematic exchanges. New theories, newmethods, new software, new standards, new writings, and new achievements inpollution research fields such as agricultural land, construction land, miningareas, oil fields, and military land in my country, showcasing new materials,new technologies, and new equipment in the soil remediation industry. Newinstruments and new models promote the digitization, informatization,marketization and industrialization of soil remediation technology in mycountry, and provide technology, supervision and product support for nationalsoil ecological environmental safety, agricultural product safety, humansettlement safety and public health protection.

The conference invited a group of experts and scholars includingAcademician Zhu Yongguan of the Institute of Urban Environment of the ChineseAcademy of Sciences, Researcher Gao Shangbin of the Ministry of Agriculture andRural Affairs, Professor Li Guanghe of Tsinghua University, Professor Hu Qingof Southern University of Science and Technology, and Researcher Luo Yongmingof the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Gu Ailiang, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of DDBS, and Dr.Shan Huifeng, Deputy General Manager, were also invited to give speeches at theconference.

With the title of "The History of an American Super Fund Site and ItsImplications for Groundwater Investigation and Restoration in China", Dr.Gu Ailiang briefly introduced the Superfund project (Superfund) and thebackground of the PGAN contaminated site, as well as the history and latestupdates of the groundwater survey and restoration of this contaminated site.Progress, in the treatment of groundwater contaminated sites in China,attention should be paid to the hydrogeological survey of the site and theupdate of conceptual models, as well as many enlightenments such as theimportance of the concept of pollutant flux and the importance of backdiffusion.

Dr. Shan Huifeng gave a special report on "Engineered smolderingtechnology to treat oil sludge and heavy organic contaminated soil at home andabroad". The report focuses on the current progress of smolderingtechnology in the field of applied research, combined with the in-situsmoldering remediation project of a large coal tar processing site in theUnited States, the domestic pilot test of oil sludge and petroleum hydrocarboncontaminated soil carried out on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, and thedomestic first A sludge treatment project implemented by the application ofengineered ex-situ smoldering technology, introduces the application practiceand subsequent research and development directions of engineered smolderingtechnology at home and abroad.

In the corporatebooth, Dr. Shan Huifeng gave a comprehensive presentation on the qualificationstrength, technological innovation, and expert team of DDBS Company.
